Coaching Plan
This year Coach Garvin limits his availability to focus on other coaching projects TLC has not been able to fulfil at present.
Many of our longer term athletes will still gain significant benefits of a longer coaching session on a monthly basis compared to weekly or fortnightly sessions they have been accustomed to.
In a general sense, coaching will be at Sunshine Bowl with considerations at Melton and Ballarat. He has not planned other sessions and will consider future options as they are presented.
The cost of coaching will be $13.00 per hour per person for a group coaching session with Coach Garvin. Traditionally he mainly has kept his fee to a Level 1 Coach rate. I'm certain many existing and new athletes will respect and support this increase when under his instruction. Coach Garvin has a Trainer and Assessor certificate and is currently gaining qualification as a Personal Trainer.
Combining his coaching skills with personal trainer skills gives you athletes an improved coaching experience. Coach Graham Pearson has expanded his bowling Pro shops during 2008 and increased his ball driller accreditation level. Combined, these compliment a holistic coaching experience with TLC.
Coaching under the guidance of other TLC Level 1 coaches will still attract a fee of $9.00 per hour per person. There has been no overall price increase from last year.
Coaching format
When at Sunshine Bowl, coaching will start after the Suits and Boots presentation. We will focus more with the juniors for the first hour then focus on adults. Junior concentration and focus span is limited compared to adults.
Having a large block of time will allow for special 1 hour topics to be delivered to include bowlers who don't want regular coaching but do need tips and coaching on specific areas of the game.
Time duration
Athletes can stay for as long as they want. If they come for an hour they will be most welcome to join in.
Booking
It is requested that you book prior to attending so the coaching format and group sizes are maintained at the highest level. You are most welcome on the day however your time on the lanes could be limited. We are not wanting to deter bowlers who want coaching not to attend if they have not booked, we want to ensure that we maintain the standards set. For those who do attend randomly, we ask you to respect that your coaching session may not be to your satisfaction. This could occur with your first session.
