TLC's People with Disabilities Programs
People who have a disability can participate in regular coaching to improve and add to their skills.
Tiffany Laine Coaching has our very own National Mental Health and Disability Specialist, Joanne Garvin. Joanne has worked in the Intellectual and Disability field for over 20 years.
She has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing and obtained her Diploma of Applied science in Intellectual Disabilities.
Joanne's roles are to assist the TLC Coaching crew and Athletes in establishing sound programs and training techniques to provide the best quality education for everyone.
TLC are also assisting the Northern Special Olympics Region Bowlers through training and Coach support. This is an ongoing role and we aim to increase our exposure and assistance to other Special Olympic regions.

Our teams have been selected and include new State Rep's which is great to see. Coach Garvin and Coach Graham Pearson are Team Coaches.

State Disabilities Coach again
Vic Tenpins has announced Coach Garvin as the State Team Coach for the 2007 team. Coach Garvin's aim is to ensure that this new TBA pathway gains a stable base over the next few years and will directly work with Vic Tenpins to ensure this happens.
TLC is building a foundation base for Bowlers with a disability to have access to quality professional coaching. There is also wide support from TLC's Coach's in support of this role which includes their involvement.

There are structured events for people with disabilities Through the TBA and Special Olympics pathways.
There are Representative Teams and tournaments additional to mainstream competitions. Feel free to contact TLC about these pathways or go to www.tenpin.org.au for more information about disabilities and classifications.
Special Olympics Victoria
Tiffany Laine Coaching is conducting a proactive coaching program with bowlers from the Northern Region of Special Olympics Vic. This is on every Sunday morning commencing 10.00am at Northcote Bowl. New season commences soon in 2007
New members are welcome. Coach Garvin- Victorian Disabilities State Coach has a full inclusion program with bowlers and parents and provides many skills bowlers can practice at home.
This interaction is a key fundamental approach for these bowlers to achieve success at Special Olympic standard.
